- “I hope you are more flattered than pissed off. ":http://buymyartwork.blogspot.com/2011/09/not-q...Saw your piece when I was surfing, got inspired, realized it was a Red Bubble thing, added it as a favorite. Meant to write to you, at that point, but, I have had so much going on – illness, people moving in and out, etc. – that I just never got around to doing anything with the work I did or anything, until tonight. As you can see, I do not have it for sale and I am calling it what it is, just practice. I was just going to delete them, but, I really like them, too. so ..Please take it as the compliment it is. I would never steal someone’s artwork, but, sometimes, someone’s arwork comes along that makes me wonder if I could do it, how I could do it, and want to doodle around and see if I can come close in any way. That’s all.
- Hi, Arletta. Not bothered at all. The blog is gone and I never got to see it, but I’m flattered if anything. Sorry to hear about the negative and busy stuff in your life. I hope it gets better! – Andrew
- Oh, it’s not gone. For some reason, when I put it as a link, Red Bubble assumed it was a link to one of their pages. Maybe you can cut and paste it.
- Love the first piece (top piece). They all look great, but that’s my fave. Go sell the hell out it! (send me money if you get filthy rich…LOL)
- Hey Arletta. You interested in a collaborative effort? The stuff I have online is just quick stuff I put to have something up. I’m working on some radical, very cool stuff that should be out in late Oct or so. I was wondering if you’d be interested in a joint referral thing, where I paint something in watercolor, you do your thing digitally, and then each of us can refer to the other in the description area. Such as, “to see a digital version of this, go to Arletta’s site, here: etc etc” If you’re interested, let me know and I’ll send you the file in a month or so. The piece I’m working on now is a trip, trust me, and I think it will look extra special digitally.
- Well, it wouldn’t be a digital version of it, it would be a digital play of it or a digital painting inspired by it. If it was just a digital version of it, it would, you know, just be the same thing as if you took a photo and scanned it. lolAnd, I think that’s what I’m going to try to remember what other people call "manipulation’ from now on, because, the word manipulation sounds underhanded and sneaky, when, really, it’s fun and creative so it’s more like art play than anything else.Glad you liked them, though, and, yeah, we could do that It could be fun!
